Gaston Reinesch, Governor of the Central Bank of Luxembourg, will visit TSE on Friday 1, April . On this occasion he will give the students a conference on the role played by Economists within a central bank.
The Central Bank of Luxembourg develops analyses aiming to prepare the Governor in his monetary policy decision making. As a member of the Eurosystem, the Central Bank of Luxembourg is responsible for the implementation of the single monetary policy in Luxembourg. The BCL role, in coordination with other central banks within the " European System of Central Banks (ESCB)is to prepare macroeconomic projections.
