Objective of the conference
The objective of this two-day conference organized by the TSE Sustainable Finance Center at the Toulouse School of Economics was to discuss recent contributions to the understanding of sustainable finance and its consequences for modern society.
Scientific contributions, as well as panel discussions, addressed various themes: financial stability, climate risks and regulation, responsible finance, financial technologies, and digital markets.
Panel discussions
- CLIMATE RISKS AND REGULATION Thursday 7, 11:45-12:45
- What are the latest developments in quantifying companies' exposure to climate change, including climate and biodiversity risks? How are companies adapting to regulatory and supervisory measures? A regulator, accompanied by representatives from the corporate sector and academia, will offer insights, shedding light on the challenges that need to be addressed and outlining the subsequent steps to be taken.
- AI IN FINANCE Friday 8, 13:30-14:30
- How can AI enhance the monitoring and quantification of risks (including climate-risk exposures)? In what ways can AI contribute to designing contracts that better cater to customers' needs or help routing investments towards more sustainable companies? What potential challenges may arise from its usage? Our panelists will delve into these thought-provoking questions, providing insights and offering the audience the opportunity to explore the latest advances in the use of artificial intelligence within the financial sector.
