Microsoft has supported TSE economists' research since 1999, fostering projects on a wide range of topics. Currently, Microsoft is encouraging new research on economic questions related to the infrastructure of AI.
From 2005 to 2020, Microsoft also sponsored the Toulouse Network for Information Technology (TNIT), which aimed to advance economic research on the software industry, the Internet's development and role, intellectual property, and competition policy. The scientific contributions of TNIT members are still available on the TSE website.
Microsoft supports the TSE Digital Center.
