GERS-TSE Partnership

About

GERS (or the Partnership to Collect and Prepare Statistics) is an Economic Interest Group that analyzes drug and health product sales data, from both retail and hospital markets. Created in 1974 on the initiative of pharmaceutical companies operating in France, it aims to provide decision makers and sales teams with indicators measuring sales performance and market potential. The Ministry of Health, in particular the Economic Committee for Health Products (CEPS), uses this reference data to monitor drug consumption and regulation.

Signed in 2019, the GERS-TSE partnership enables in-depth analyses to be carried out on research topics which are of particular interest to the pharmaceutical industry: the shortage of medicines, parallel trade in medicines, the economics of antibiotics... GERS supports the TSE Health Center.

The partnership also includes the publication of policy briefs (based on scientific publications by TSE researchers) and the sharing of research findings during thematic workshops.

Thanks to this partnership, TSE researchers have also access to databases that provide very useful material for their work.
